September 24, 2010 The University at Buffalo (UB) Art Gallery, Center for the Arts is organizing a comprehensive survey exhibition of the first eleven years of Artpark's Visual Artist Program. Artpark: 1974 - 1984 will chronicle the seminal years of this innovative residency program located in Lewiston, NY. This exhibition will feature documentation of more than 200 artists' projects, photographs, drawings, maquettes, video and film, ephemera, multimedia installations, and original and re-fabricated sculpture and installations. The aim of this 11th edition will be examining a series of artistic practices which have in common the creation of experiences, focusing on the theme of sensory immersion. "Bilder in Bewegung/ Moving images" In 1974 the German collector Peter Ludwig bought "Ray Gun Virus" by Paul Sharits as Frozen Film Frame and the film from the Ricke Gallery in Cologne. He donated both pieces to the Museum Ludwig 1986.

January 22, 2010 to 2012 Animism is a long-term exhibition and publication project first presented between 22 January and 2 May 2010 in Antwerp in a collaboration of Extra City Kunsthal Antwerpen and the Museum of Contemporary Art (M HKA). A second version of the exhibition will be shown at Kunsthalle Bern from May till July 2010. Subsequent versions will be developed at the Generali Foundation in Vienna and the House of World Cultures in Berlin in 2011 and 2012, respectively.“Declarative Mode” by Paul Sharits is considered to be included in the exhibition Animism curated by Anselm Franke in a collaboration between Muhka and Extra City in Antwerpen (Belgium).
